Monica Grabin: Calendar

Well, what a great 6 days with the fourth grade at McMahon. Thanks to all the kids, all the teachers and the friendly staff who made me welcome. We sang a lot, laughed a lot, the kids helped me remember to take all my gear as I moved among the classrooms, and I believe we all learned a lot. I certainly did.

Our topics were: first, the Native tribes of Maine and New England; second, Westward Expansion; and third, Regions of the country. Our last get-together was a review and sing-along of any songs the kids wanted. They were all wonderful singers, excellent listeners, and good audiences. Teachers, you are to be commended for preparing students to be all those things, and kids, thanks so much for your participation. Thanks also to L/A Arts for the support and sponsorship of this residency. I hope we can continue to collaborate to bring quality enrichment to the students of Lewiston and Auburn. Happy Spring!!

Boy, for a rainy day we sure had a nice group of listeners. But who can blame them, with the food so good, and the environment so cozy and relaxed. Dale Robin and I enjoyed ourselves tremendously. We encourage people to check this place out!! The baked goods, apples and food prepared by Sebastian the chef are really first-class. Thanks to Steve for having us again and we can't wait to do it another time.

I so enjoyed presenting again at the Goodall Library. There was a good turnout of interested and strong-voiced people, and I think we all had a great time. Thanks again to everyone at Goodall, and especially Jackie McDougal. I look forward to doing more with you.

This was such a great event. Thanks to everyone for inviting me, and to so many friends and neighbors for coming to celebrate the lovely new Cafe.

This was a delightful evening. Thanks to all the folks who attended, and I especially enjoyed the children, whose mother wrote to me this morning to tell me how much her kids liked it. Yahoo! My thanks to everyone at Lithgow Library for making it happen, and I do hope we'll have another chance to work together.

wonderful show, beautiful, great-sounding room, and just a treat all around. It meant a lot to me to be able to share my songs and stories with you. Thanks to the Goodall Library and Jackie McDougal in particular for their enthusiastic support. I hope this is just the first of many times we'll work together.

My deepest thanks to all the lovely people at the Scarborough Public Library for making this such a delightful evening. The audience and I had a great time together. From a Passamaquoddy song to cod-fishing ditties, we did a lot of singing and sharing. I hope we'll do it again some time soon.

This was a wonderful evening. All the players were in fine form, the audience was enthusiastic and the venue treated us extremely well. Hopefully we'll make this an annual event.

We had a wonderful time on our first visit to "the county." Bill and I were made so welcome, and although the weather was not particularly cooperative, we had a fine turnout and a great time. Sonja, thanks for everything, and please keep in touch.

This was a wonderful night. So many lovely people came to listen and such great performers helped me out, how could anything go wrong? And of course, nothing did. I got so many compliments on the whole evening, from people I've known for years and people I met that evening.
A great time was had by all.

A great show, even though we couldn't play in the pretty little park. The indoors is Johnson Hall, a great venue, and lots of people came, of all ages. Really, toddlers to seniors with walkers. The hosts were great, and we had a wonderful time. We can't wait to come again!

a terrific show, wonderful to play with B.C. Childress who really knows how to play those rigs and jeels. And I even got to bang on the bodhran. The finale with everyone singing out on Paddy Lay Back will stay in my memory for a long time.

What fun this was! A huge group of 550+ people from all over the country and the world sat overlooking Portland Harbor, eating lobster and listening to the strains of Mom's Home Cookin's music. We rode the ferry over, ate our own lobster dinner, and proceeded to entertain scientists from the American Pharmacological Society. Thanks to Cindy Angerhofer and Stefan Gafner for inviting us. We had a blast.
